We use gas detection equipment to find leaks on pipework and appliances. Once a leak is repaired, we carry out a tightness test to confirm the whole gas installation is sound before your gas is turned back on.

If your carbon monoxide alarm goes off, or people in the home have headaches, dizziness or sickness that ease when they go outside, turn off your gas appliances, open the windows, get everyone out and call 0800 111 999. Get medical advice if anyone feels unwell.

If you smell gas or think there's carbon monoxide, call 0800 111 999 first. The call is free and they'll make the property safe, but they won't usually repair your pipework or appliances. That's where we come in.
How quickly can you get to me?
You can call us 24/7. We prioritise emergencies and usually attend the same or next day. If there's an elderly person, a young child or someone vulnerable at home without heating, tell us when you call.
What can I do while I wait for an engineer?
If you have no heating, keep doors closed to hold in the heat and use portable electric heaters safely. Check the power to the boiler is on and the thermostat is turned up, as these sometimes fix it.
