Which type of boiler do you need?
- Combi boiler. Heats water on demand with no tank, so it saves space. Suits most flats and homes with one bathroom.
- System boiler. Stores hot water in a cylinder, so it can supply more than one tap or shower at once. Suits homes with more than one bathroom.
- Regular (heat-only) boiler. Works with a hot water cylinder and tanks in the loft. Common in older homes, and sometimes the best choice to keep.
We'll look at your home and how you use hot water, and recommend the type that suits you.
How a boiler installation works
- Free survey and quote. We look at your home, your existing system and where the boiler and flue can go.
- Our recommendation. We explain which boiler we'd fit and why, and what it will cost.
- Installation day. We remove the old boiler, fit the new one and its controls, and clean the system where needed.
- Testing and paperwork. We test everything, register the boiler with the manufacturer for its warranty, and notify Building Control through the Gas Safe Register.
- Handover. We show you how to use the boiler and its controls.

How long does a boiler installation take?
Swapping a boiler like for like usually takes a day. Moving the boiler or changing the type of system can take two to three days.
What warranty will I get?
That depends on the manufacturer and model. We'll explain the warranty on the boiler we recommend, and register it for you.
Do I need a power flush?
Not always. We'll check the condition of your heating system and only recommend a flush if it needs one.
